Privacy Policy

Estika is made by Kaflow LLC (“Kaflow”, “we”, “us”). This policy explains what information the Estika app and estika.app handle, why, and the choices you have.

1. The short version

Estika works without an account. What you tell the app stays on your iPhone and in your iCloud, and we never receive it. We don’t sell information, show ads, or track you across apps and websites. The only personal information that reaches us is what you choose to send: an email to us, or your address on one of our waitlists.

2. Information that stays on your device

To build your plan, the app asks about you: your age, gender, experience, how far you can reach, your goals, what your day is like, the areas you want to work on and the areas to go easy on, and how much time you have. It also keeps your name and photo if you add them, your reminder time, the routines you build and your progress.

This information is stored on your iPhone and, if iCloud is on, in your iCloud account under your Apple Account, so it follows you to a new iPhone. Apple’s privacy policy covers iCloud. We cannot see or access any of it.

3. Information about your body and health

Some answers can say something about your health: the areas to go easy on, where you feel stiff, and goals such as easing back pain, reducing stress or sleeping better. Estika uses them only on your device, to choose stretches and mark the ones that need care. They stay on your iPhone and in your iCloud and are never sent to us, so we never collect, share or sell them or use them for ads. Delete All Data, in section 13, removes them.

4. Purchases

Estika Pro is sold through Apple’s App Store. Apple processes your payment, and we never receive your card or billing details. Apple tells the app whether your subscription is active and its dates, which the app uses to unlock Pro. Apple reports sales and subscription figures to us without your name or contact details.

5. Crash reports and app analytics

If you choose to share analytics with app developers in your iPhone’s settings, under Privacy & Security, Analytics & Improvements, Apple sends us crash reports and usage statistics without your name or contact details. You can turn this off at any time. Estika has no analytics or advertising code of its own. If you test Estika through TestFlight, Apple also shares with us your name and email address, and the feedback, screenshots and crash reports you choose to send.

6. Notifications

Your daily reminder is scheduled by your iPhone. Nothing about it is sent to us.

7. When you contact us

If you email hello@estika.app, we receive your email address, your message and anything you attach, and use them only to answer you. Our email is hosted by Google Workspace.

8. The waitlists

If you join the iPhone or Android waitlist on this website, we store your email address, which waitlist you joined, the language of the page you joined from, the date and a random code for your unsubscribe link. We use them to email you, in that language, when Estika is available there and, after that, now and then, with news and offers about Estika. Every email has a link to unsubscribe, which takes your address off both waitlists. To keep bots out, the form uses Cloudflare Turnstile, which checks your browser and connection and processes your IP address under Cloudflare’s privacy policy. Cloudflare’s own records of sending an email are deleted within 30 days.

9. This website

estika.app sets no cookies and runs no ads or tracking. If you open a waitlist form, Cloudflare Turnstile may store a cookie on Cloudflare’s own domain, only to tell people from bots. To count visits, we use Cloudflare Web Analytics, which Cloudflare built to work without cookies or local storage and without identifying visitors. It records the pages viewed, the site that sent you, your browser, operating system and country, and how fast pages load, and we see only totals, never individual visitors. Our host, Cloudflare, also processes technical information such as your IP address, browser type and the pages you request, to deliver the site and protect it from abuse. Fonts and pictures are served from our own site. Since the site doesn’t track you across websites, it has nothing for a Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control signal to turn off.

10. How we use information

Only to provide and support the app and the website, answer your messages, email you about Estika as you asked when you joined a waitlist, keep our services secure, and meet our legal obligations. We don’t sell or rent personal information, use it to show you ads, or make automated decisions about you.

11. Who we share it with

Only the providers that run our services, under terms that limit their use of it and require them to protect it as this policy does: Apple, for the App Store, iCloud and crash reports; Cloudflare, for hosting the website, counting its visits, storing the waitlists, sending their email and Turnstile, whose signals Cloudflare also uses, under its own privacy policy, to improve its bot detection; and Google, for email. We may also disclose information if the law requires it, to protect rights and safety, or as part of a merger or sale of our business, in which case this policy keeps applying.

12. How long we keep it

Your app information stays on your devices and in your iCloud until you delete it. We keep emails for up to two years after our last message with you, unless the law requires longer. Waitlist addresses are kept until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete them. Our website’s logs at Cloudflare, which include IP addresses, are kept for up to 30 days, for security.

13. Deleting your data

In Estika, open Profile, then Privacy and Terms, and tap Delete All Data. It deletes your profile, photo, progress and routines from your iPhone and from iCloud, and cancels your reminders. It doesn’t cancel Estika Pro; to cancel, see the Terms. Deleting the app alone keeps the iCloud copy: to remove it, install Estika again and tap Delete All Data. To delete an email or a waitlist address, write to us.

14. Your rights

Wherever you live, you can ask us to access, correct, delete or send you a copy of the personal information we hold, to object to or restrict how we use it, and to withdraw your consent. Laws such as the GDPR in the European Economic Area and the UK and Brazil’s LGPD give you these rights. Your app information stays on your devices, where you control it directly. For anything we hold, email hello@estika.app, which is also our channel for requests under the LGPD; we’ll respond within 15 days, or sooner where the law requires. You may also complain to your local data protection authority, such as Brazil’s ANPD.

California residents: we do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising, and we don’t use sensitive personal information beyond what is needed to provide the app.

15. Legal bases

Where the GDPR or the LGPD applies, we process personal information: to do what you ask of us, such as answering your email; with the consent you give by joining a waitlist, to tell you when Estika is available and send you news and offers about it, which you can withdraw at any time by unsubscribing; for our legitimate interests in delivering the website, counting its visits in totals, fixing crashes and keeping our services secure; and to comply with the law. You don’t have to give us any personal information, but without your email address we can’t answer you or email you about Estika.

16. International transfers

Kaflow is based in the United States, so information you send us is handled there, and our providers may process it in the US and other countries. Where the GDPR or UK law requires a safeguard for this, we rely on our providers’ certification under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework and its UK extension, or on Standard Contractual Clauses. Email us for a copy of these safeguards.

17. Security

We use providers with strong security practices and limit access to the little information we hold. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, but we work to protect it.

18. Children

Estika is not directed to children under 13, and we don’t knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has sent us information, email us and we’ll delete it. Where a law asks apps to check age, the app asks Apple for your age range on your iPhone, only to apply the minimum age of 13; it never leaves your iPhone and we don’t keep it.

19. Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we’ll update this page and the date at the top. If a change is significant, we’ll give notice in the app or on this website before it takes effect.
